The Triple Crown and The Belmont stakes

The Belmont Stakes is the third leg of the thoroughbred Triple Crown, a five week series which invariably attracts the nation’s best three year old horses. The Triple Crown, which has only been won just 11 times, the last time by Affirmed in 1978, is America's greatest honor for a thoroughbred. The Belmont is particularly challenging because of its distance of one and one-half miles, which is considerably longer than either the Kentucky Derby (1 1/4 miles) or the Preakness (1 3/16 miles). The following are replays from the 2016 Kentucky Derby and the 2016 Preakness.
